When you were a kid, what posters and pictures adorned your room's walls -- TV/movie stars, singers/bands, athletes, Einstein, bio-hazard warning signs? Why were they worthy of display (and did your parents ever yell at you to take them down)?

When I was a teeno, most of my posters came from Sugar & J17 mags. I had ones of Benjie McNair (Mal from neighbours), Jesse Spencer (Billy from neighbours), Paul Nichols (was that his name? From another soap can't remember which) and Leonardo DiCaprio, titanic-aged! I think they were mostly topless ones, LOL!!

A bit later on as I became more gothy/emo, I had two HUGE Skunk Anansie promotional posters that I'd bought at an SA gig. That iconic one of Kurt Cobain with the guitar. Possibly a surfing one?
This is all I can remember.

Right now my only poster is a map of the world. I like having a map of the world up, it reminds me of my goals and dreams and how many places there are still to discover..

When I was little it was mainly disney stuff, Aladdin especially, I took them down only when we redecorated my room(6 years ago), but I still have them.

Now I have mainly inuyasha stuff, harry potter, Assassin's creed...

Hell...my posters were all motorbikes and New Kids On The Block!! Gradually the NKOTB ones came down and I did life-size paintings of bikes on my walls and ceiling. My mother let my creative side run wild and let me do pretty much whyat I wanted, as long as I wasn't knocking down walls and shit lmaoo XD

From the age of 13-16 I had the HUGEST crush on Jonathan Brandis. I had walls FILLED with posters of him from Bop and Big Bopper magazines. I even had a 3 foot poster on my ceiling above my head, so that I could look at this beautiful face every morning lol.

Reading this, it's like you wrote it about me. JB and Leonardo Dicaprio flanked my walls as well.

Rick Springfield and Duran Duran it was all about the eighty's!!

My room as a teenager got a touch more classy. I was a fanatic for hunter green and my mother was nice enough to spend several hundred dollars on new bedding, curtains, blinds etc. would have been quite elegant had I not used Calvin Klein ads as wall border. Somehow surrounding myself with beautiful people inspired me.
